I kept seeing these tutorials online about how to make little baby shoes. I thought I'd try it out, and these came out so cute! I had some frustrations (cutting the elastic too long, sewing machine needle getting stuck, thread breaking) but in the end got it done.
I made them with a remnant of this cute jersey fabric with rockets and aliens. My friend had a baby boy a month ago, and I think I'll just toss them in with the other gifts for him.
I have some gender neutral baby fabric remnants that need a purpose. I'll probably make some of these shoes for baby girl too, now that I understand how to do it. And ya know? With all these cute handmade baby things I've tried out lately, I should just make a stash of each of them. Then whenever someone has a baby (since there are lots of preggers lately!) I've got a gift already together!
So cute!

Baby crafty
I'm so excited. My friend Gina just had her third child, the first boy! So rather than run out and buy a gift, I decided to make her some things. I did the first today and it was so easy I might have to do this whenever someone has a baby. The rest involve the sewing machine, and since Monkey is napping I decided to hold off.
I got all three of the ideas online and will definitely post pics & links when they are done!
