Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Here I sit, New Year's Eve at 10:15pm, typing a blog. I guess that's what you turn into when you have a 10 month old snoozing in the next room. There will be other New Year's.

Monkey had a wonderful first Christmas! The excitement of Christmas Eve was too much for him, and it was almost 11pm before we got him to bed. He had so much fun playing with his new toys at his Grandma's party. He was the perfect boy and let people hold him and play.

He loved opening his stocking at Grammy & Grandpa's. We had too much to eat, as usual, but enjoyed the slower pace of the day since we split up the two families between the two days. We visited Corey's grandparents, too, to round it out. It was a busy two days and both Monkey and I had a meltdown that evening since we were so tired.

We took it easy today, and I plan to spend the turn of the New Year praying that the fireworks don't wake him up. Wishful thinking on my part, I'm sure.
