For some reason I have that CCR song stuck in my head. I guess it's because Gustav's bearing down towards us.

We've got our plans...evac to Bush and if they evac there then on to B'ham we go! Printed out my Hurricane planning lists and now I'm checking them twice and heading to the store later on tonight for final rations.

Corey's in charge of buttoning up the house and getting gas in the cars. Monkey is in charge of being cute. Kitties are in charge of running amok like chickens with their heads cut off...as usual.

Pray for us all that we are spared another devastation on this three year anniversary of Katrina! Is that what's making this one seem so bad? Is that why my stomach is in knots? Because it's 3 years since Katrina and things are still broken? Or do we have right to be worried? Who knows, but either way at least it's got our ears perked up.
