What a weekend

Corey rode in Endymion and went off to the festivities early in the morning. Monkey and I went to the park and played on the gym for over an hour. He had the best time going up and down the slide and didn't want to leave. We picked up hamburgers at Wendy's and chowed down at lunch.
After a very short nap, we packed up and went down to Marconi to see Corey on the parade route. Monkey got to get up in the float and wave down to me. We walked up and down the lined up floats and saw a lot of people we knew as they were setting up their throws. That is the way to do it! Monkey got a lot of nice stuff and we didn't have to fight the crowds to get it. We had a nice parking spot a block from the route where Corey's group was hanging out before getting on the floats. It's nice to be spoiled like that. :) We headed out before the parade started and didn't have a problem at all getting around. We spent the rest of Saturday at Grammy & Papa's house hanging out, and Monkey fell asleep in the car on the way home. He was so pooped out; it was an hour and a half before his bedtime!
Corey spent Sunday recuperating so Monkey and I played around the house and made our weekly trip to Rite Aid for some deals. We walked down to the lake (boy was it windy and cold!) and played in the front yard tackling each other and throwing grass. It was so much fun to spend quality time with my little boy. I guess I need to ensure that we have more weekends like this!
