Thursday we got a note from day care that Monkey clapped! We were so excited and wanted to see for ourselves. We put on some music and sat him on the floor, clapping ourselves. He looked at us like we were crazy. After a few minutes, I clapped his hands together; that jump started it! Now he claps at everything. No toy to play with? Clap! Diaper changed? Clap! No reason at all? Clap! Too cute.
In the midst of all this clapping, I needed to get Monkey an outfit for his christening. I had gone to Dillard's but didn't really like anything that they had. Too shiny. Too small. Too tuxedo-y. I figured I'd better get on it this weekend since the baptism is...um...next Sunday, and we all know that there's no way to get any shopping done during the week. I ended up going to this cute kids shop that's right down the street and found the most precious little white romper. It's got smocking on the front, an adorable bonnet (which Corey's already said Monkey is not wearing), and a rounded collar. I did pay 34 bucks for it, which is a lot for what...20 minutes?...of baptism. But it's once in a lifetime, right? And I figured he could wear it for his formal pictures the next week. Two birds. Photo to come soon.
