Strike A Pose

Today Monkey went for his very first photo session. Yep, it took me 8 months to get my act together and get his pictures done! We went to Creative Images, which I really liked. It's a little cottage-like house with a large studio in the back of the house and really neat outdoorsy scenes in the backyard. Monkey was a perfect little gentleman - aside from the super-poop he did in the car on the way over (which went all the way up his back - yuck!). Fortunately I was smart again, and just had him in a onesie for the trip. After we changed & cleaned up, they took some pics of him in the little white romper from the baptism. We were staged next to a window with really great lighting. Monkey was too cute...and stayed in almost the same pose the whole time! He laughed and smiled, but also wanted to see everything that was going on. Whenever Kevin (the photographer) made a change to the reflector, the camera, whatever - Monkey had to see what was going on. They took a few pictures of him on his tummy, and towards the end, he scooted up onto his butt in a sitting position! We were all surprised (since he's only done that maybe twice before) and cheered him on.

After the little white romper photos, we changed into a cream polo with a tan lion sweater vest over it and brown pants. For those we went outside on a wooden structure which went really well with the browns in his outfit. We also did some pictures on a wooden vine chair under the tree. Again, Monkey was enthralled with water: there was a water feature/stream in the backyard that was bubbling while we were doing the chair pictures. He kept turning around to look for it!

I can't wait to see the proofs. It should be about a week.
