Mardi Gras Mambo

Yesterday Monkey experienced his very first Mardi Gras parade! He woke up from his nap, and we all walked over to the Rhea parade in progress! He flipped his head back and forth to watch all the fancy band uniforms and dancing girls. After a few floats, he even waved his hand out to “throw me somethin’”! Monkey walked away with a 12” fuzzy floppy lavender bear, a purple Mardi Gras beanie bear, a small plush baby Beauregard Zephyrs nutria, and his favorite: a big yellow Pooh-looking bear with Mardi Gras jester hat and collar! It was a cool day and his nose and cheeks were so chilly when we got home! I think he had a great time at his first parade...I know I did!
