Can I just take this moment to tell you how sweet, adorable, and wonderful my little son is????
When I was dropping him off at school, a little girl from his class was also arriving. I set him on the floor so he could stand next to her (we were in the lobby). They ran towards each other and gave a hug. He said her name and pointed to her eyes (?). Then they held hands and hugged again. Now how sweet is that???
Later on I went to visit him and drop off some brownies to his teachers (I took off of work today). I was able to watch him play for a little while, which I don't normally get an opportunity to do. Most of the time he played on his own, but when he did play with the other kids he very easily shared the toys and didn't make a fuss at all. At one point a little girl was looking for a zebra toy, and he went with one of the teachers to find it. He pulled it off of the shelf and ran to the little girl to give it to her. Later on, I saw him playing with a toy another boy had been playing with earlier. I didn't see him take it from him, but the little boy was standing there looking like he lost something. I asked Monkey whether he took that from the boy and to please give it back. He promptly went to the little boy and gave the toy back. No fuss or questions asked.
Since I've never really seen him interact with the other kids, I was totally amazed at how polite, friendly and sweet he was!! I couldn't stop smiling.
